WHITEWATER – Community Kids Summer Explorers Programs - is a Summer Program for school age children 4 -12 years offered from June until August 31st.
The Community Kids Summer Explorers Program theme for this 2009 was, “Exploring our Environments.” Gone are the days when summer day camp meant simply tying knots or making pot holders. Today, our Explorers Program is as unique as the children participating themselves. We still provide arts and crafts, but in addition we offer kids an exceptional opportunity to experience the attractions and resources in their communities that are often unavailable to them. Activities included; Camp Challenge Days, learning about “Going Green”, family night, summer reading activities, arts and crafts, group games, math power hour, along with solar energy activities.
DELAVAN – WHITEWATER Summer Programs - Community Kids-Delavan Learning Center Summer Program and Summer Explorers Program are for school agers that will for children ages birth -12 years.
A wide variety of fun learning activities were done with a theme called “The Summer of ABC’s,” offered during the summer at the Community Kids Delavan Learning Center. Activities included; crafts, stories, and games, based on the alphabet letters for each week from June through August 31 with an alphabet round-up.
The School Age Summer Explorers Programs for both the Delavan and Whitewater theme will be, “Exploring our Environments.” Gone are the days when summer day camp meant simply tying knots or making pot holders. Today, our Explorers Programs are as unique as the children themselves. During the summer months as parents we are concerned with ensuring that our children are safe, supervised, and engaged in activities that keep their minds and bodies active when school is out. Kids eagerly anticipate the free time, and simply want to have fun, explore and learn something new. Community Action’s Community Kids Explorers Programs is a solution designed to keep everyone happy and engaged for the summer!
In addition to the range of activities offered, parents also have the flexibility of enrolling their children when they will need care and not based on sessions. Community Kids can accommodate flexible hours Monday through Friday to meet the demands of your work week and your child care needs.
