 Skills Enhancement (Mejora de Habilidades)

Skills Enhancement is a program available to both Rock and Walworth Counties designed to increase the income and economic self-sufficiency of low-wage working households by helping adult members acquire the skills they need to obtain higher paying jobs with health care benefits in demand occupations.  Eligible participants must reside in households with incomes at or below 150% of the federal poverty level and be must employed at least 20 hours per week.  A strong commitment is required on behalf of the participant to combine training, employment and persona lives, in the short-term, in exchange for long term economic benefits. 


Habilidades Enhancement es un programa disponible tanto para Rock and Walworth Condados diseñadas para aumentar los ingresos y la autosuficiencia económica de las familias que trabajan con salarios bajos, ayudando a los miembros adultos a adquirir las habilidades que necesitan para obtener empleos mejor remunerados con beneficios para la salud en las ocupaciones de la demanda. Los participantes elegibles deben residir en hogares con ingresos en o por debajo del 150% del nivel federal de pobreza y ser imprescindible emplear al menos 20 horas por semana. Se requiere un fuerte compromiso por parte del participante de combinar formación, el empleo y Persona vidas, en el corto plazo, a cambio de beneficios económicos a largo plazo.
