Community Action expands to offer Young Adult Center

Helping another family through tough times

Linda’s husband John was diagnosed with a terminal illness.  Their children were grown but John would no longer be able to work.  Linda’s disability check was not enough to pay for everything.   When bills piled up they turned to AWARE in Evansville for help.  John’s condition continued to decline and he passed away six months later.

Pig Roast to benefit Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless

LAKE GENEVA—Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless is holding a pig roast benefit on Saturday, September 10th at Carvetti’s Grill & Tap House in Lake Geneva. The donor contributed the cost of the party to serve as a fundraiser for Twin Oaks.

Golf outing to benefit Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless

Registration is filling up fast for the 18th Annual Twin Oaks Golf Outing, a four-person charity scramble benefitting Walworth County’s only 24/7 homeless shelter.
