BIC gift donation

The holidays will be a bit brighter for families served by Community Action, Inc. of Rock & Walworth Counties. Brothers in Chains, a motorcycle club based in Janesville, donated gifts for 385 children in Community Action’s Fresh Start, Fatherhood, PATHS and Community Kids Learning Center programs. The group also donated $1,500 for additional gifts for children in the Transitional Living Program, Mentoring program and AWARE in Evansville.

Altogether, their donations provided toys and other gifts for more than 500 children, from infants to 18-year-olds.

“Brothers in Chains is an amazing group of people,” says Marc Perry, director of community programs for Community Action. “They are already making plans for Christmas gifts next year, are planning a food drive and hope to sponsor a field trip for Community Kids Learning Center.”

Brothers in Chains would like to thank Afton Pub, Mike’s Roadhouse of Beloit, Bobblehead’s Bar & Grill of Janesville, Wedge’s of Janesville, and The Cove of Milton for hosting toy drive donation sites.

This is the second year Brothers in Chains has donated gifts for Community Action program participants. The men have also previously underwritten field trips and provided financial support for programs.
