DARIEN, WIS.—Community Action, Inc. of Rock & Walworth Counties is pleased to announce Elizabeth Knapp as the new manager of Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless. Knapp previously served as case manager for Twin Oaks, and is currently a case manager for Community Action’s Transitional Living Program.

In her role, Knapp will oversee operations of the 24/7 shelter including management of staff, interns and volunteers. The shelter’s services are designed to move residents toward stable housing and financial self-sufficiency. Knapp will also build community partnerships to enhance support for the shelter.

“Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, energy and enthusiasm to her new role,” says Marc Perry, director of community programs. “We are very excited about this new phase for Twin Oaks.”

Knapp has lived in Janesville for 18 years and worked in Walworth County for three years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, specializing in case management for children and families. Before joining the team at Community Action, Inc. Knapp interned at various nonprofit agencies in Rock County.
