From First Choice Health Center:

First Choice Health Center“A few years ago a father came into the Wisconsin Well Woman office

[at First Choice Health Center in Janesville] with his 16-year-old daughter and his young son. His daughter had a breast lump and his wife had died of breast cancer in her early thirties. Understandably, they were very worried and concerned.

The 16-year-old was far too young for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, but we had received a grant from a national foundation to help people in these situations. We contracted with a healthcare facility to share the cost with us.

She was able to get a diagnostic mammogram, breast ultrasound and biopsy through these collaborations. She and her family were able to hear the wonderful news that she did not have breast cancer.”
