ROCK COUNTY—Community Action, Inc. of Rock & Walworth Counties (CAI) proudly announces an investment of nearly $500,000 from United Way Blackhawk Region (UWBR).
“The importance of being a UWBR funded organization goes far beyond the financial resources that UWBR provides to our programs,” says Marc Perry, CAI executive director.
“Being a UWBR partner organization speaks to the legitimacy, credibility and impact of our programs and our organization. It is a very public stamp of approval that we at CAI are good stewards of the resources UWBR donors and volunteers provide; it is a strong statement to the community that we are who we say we are.”
UWBR’s Board of Directors approved funding for the following CAI programs during the 2023-25 grant cycle:
- AWARE in Evansville $30,000
- Community Kids Learning Center $120,000
- Beloit Fresh Start $20,000
- Merrill Community Center Youth Programs $115,000
- Merrill Community Center Senior Program $27,000
- Project Thrive $60,000
